Bamboo Capital Group giving away nearly 3,000 gifts to support the impoverished in the Covid-19 pandemic

(BCG) After the campaign “Bamboo Capital Group join hands for public health” which was about giving away 50,000 medical masks, Bamboo Capital Group (BCG) had run the new campaign in which nearly 3,000 gifts were given to the people in need during the Covid-19 situation.

With the orientation of developing business activities in parallel with community development, reaching the goal of sustainable development, this campaign is the second program of BCG in the effort of helping the society, contributing to the prevention of Covid-19 epidemic and its negative impacts. Through this, the Group hopes to share some of the burden with the people, reduce the difficulties during the outbreak, and promote the spirit of solidarity and caring for the community.

During the effective time of the Prime Minister’s Directive No. 16/CT-TTg on social distancing to prevent the spread of Covid-19, the impoverished has faced a lot of difficulties in daily life. With the sympathy to these circumstances, the Group along with its affiliates and associates have donated 2,200 gifts, each containing 5kg of rice, 1 carton of instant noodles and 10 medical masks, given to poor households at Ho Chi Minh City, Tay Ninh City, Long An Province, Quang Nam Province, Vinh Long Province and another 680 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND in An Giang Province.

Specifically, the campaign started on April 9, 2020 until the end of the month, the locations for gift giving are the main offices of the Group as well as its subsidiaries and affiliates and the project located places including manufacturing factories, real estate, renewable energy projects such as: BCG’s Head Office at 27C Quoc Huong, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City; Transport and Industrial Development Investment Joint Stock Company (Tracodi) at 89 Cach Mang Thang Tam, Ho Chi Minh City; 3 communes: Thuan Nghia Hoa, Thanh Phu, Thanh Phuoc, Thanh Hoa district; 3 communes Nhi Thanh, Binh Thanh and Tan Thanh, Thu Thua district; Duc Hoa and Ben Luc stations at both ends of BOT 830 project, Long An province; Tapiotek JSC, Chau Thanh District, Tay Ninh City; Ngoc Thien Vihara, Vinh Long Province; Amor Garden Project and Malibu Hoi An Project, Quang Nam Province; Thien Chanh Pagoda, Tan Phu District, Ho Chi Minh City; Antraco, An Giang Province.

Thanks to the support of local authorities, every activity was carried out successfully. During the operation, BCG and the local government did not forget the safety factors in preventing the spread of Covid-19 such as equipment and requirements for the use of dry handwashing liquid, wear medical masks and temperature check.

During the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic, a lot of heart-warming actions of not only individuals but also organizations are witnessed everywhere in order to timely support the situations needing help. BCG, which is no exception, has joined hands with the desire to create motivation for the people to overcome all difficulties, through that promoting humanity values and sharing love and care. This is also one of the Group’s sustainable activities in community development efforts towards sustainable development.
